Senator Imee Marcos acted as the Special Guest of Honor and Speaker during the inauguration of the newly constructed Portland Cement Concrete Pavement (PCCP) and the groundbreaking ceremony of the bridge along Bantay (Ilocos Sur)-San Quintin-Langiden(Abra) Road, Bantay, Ilocos Sur.
The newly constructed PCCP inaugurated is a 4.617.56 kilometer road while the groundbreaking ceremony involved the construction of a bridge with a 350.9 lineal meter length.
The soon to rise bridge is expected to simulate future economic activities between Ilocos Region and CAR by providing a shorter, faster and cheaper transport system.
Governor Jerry Singson, Vice Governor Ryan Singson, 1st District Congressman Ronald Singson and the rest of the Provincial Officials together with DPWH Regional Director Ronnel M. Tan, OIC-Assistant Regional Director Mathias Malenab, DILG OIC-ARD Paulino G. Lalata, Jr., PD Randy S. Dela Rosa, ISPPO Provincial Director, PCOL Marlo Castillo also witnessed the event.
