Twenty local designers of the province showcased their magnificient creations of the traditional Abel Iluko fabric during the Kannawidan Abel Iluko Fashion Show at the Qurino Stadium, Bantay.

Elegant and sophisticated models gracefully walked the runways to the sound of tribal drums as they presented the creations of modern and Filipiniana Abel Iluko designs.

Aside from the models, Governor Jerry Singson together with the members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, mayors from the different cities and municipaities of the province, Miss Ilocos Sur Queens and LGBT Queens also walked the runways wearing different Abel Iluko creations.

Governor Jerry Singson emphasized the need to continue patronizing and supporting the Abel Iluko industry which has been a trademark of Ilocano ingenuity and a representation of the creativity of the people and the vibrancy of its culture. Also, promoting the Abel Iluko is a symbol of our dedication to preserve the living tradition.
