The famous ilocano dish which is pinakbet became the main menu for the six LGU’s of the province who competed during the Ilocos Sur Kannawidan Festival Culinary Competition held at Aluminak Resort, Santiago.

Well known personalities in the field of culinary served as the Board of Judges, they were Chef Chona Laurente, Chef Robert Plouffe and Chef Jose Sarasola.

The competition’s primary aim is to turn Ilocos Sur cuisines into its profound food culture to promote the province’s tourism that has massively succeeded in the past years or so, food is becoming an important part of a place and strategy in many areas.
