The different departments of the Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur spread some holiday cheers as the employees crafted stunning christmas decorations in their offices. The final judging was done last 13 December and winners will be announced on 18 December 2024 in time of the PGIS Christmas Party.

Ilocos Sur ranked 28th among the 172 LGUs across the country
Ilocos Sur ranked 28th among the 172 LGUs across the country during the 2024 Batang Pinoy National Championships held in Puerto Princesa, Palawan last 23-29 November 2024. Ilocos Sur bagged a total of 41 medals: 9 gold, 9 silver, and 23 bronze medals.
