Around 540 passengers of Norwegian Jewel Cruise Ship visited Ilocos Sur this 27 February 2024. Tourists visited the St. Augustine Parish Church and Bell Tower, Ilocos Regional Museum Complex, Pagburnayan Jar Factory and the Vigan Heritage Village. Provincial Tourism Officer John Noel Andaya guided their tour.

Candonians warmly welcomed the holiday season as Governor Jerry Singson, Mayor Eric Singson and other city officials lit their giant christmas tree followed by a chirstmas concert by the Candon City Music Program. Trees on the streets were also illuminated as part of the celebration of Feria de Candon 2023.

Governor Jerry Singson joined in the lighting ceremony of Vigan City’s community christmas tree held in front of the City Hall. “As we celebrate the Christmas season and move forward for a new year, we are again reminded to cherish the value of unity, camaraderie and courage”.
