Residents of Brgy. Rugsuanan, Vigan City who will benefit from the solar-powered irrigation system project constructed by the Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur thanked Governor Jerry Singson for this endeavor.

The Governor together with SPM Third Ranches, Vigan City Agriculture and City Engineering Office inspected the project.

Upon evaluation, the City Engineering Office personnel rated it with 10 being the highest score.

This irrigation project will address the farmer’s problem especially during summer where there is an absence of rain that lasts for months.

“Infrastructure like this will help our farmers combat the negative effects of climate change. We are confident that they will be responsible for managing it and making it productive for their own benefit and welfare,” said Governor Jerry Singson.
