The Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur in collaboration with the Department of the Interior and Local Government organized a two-day training and workshop on Climate and Disaster Risk Assessment (CDRA) for the local DRRM Officers and Planning Development Coordinators from the 34 LGUs of the province.

This aims to capacitate the LGUs to deliver comprehensive studies about climate and disaster risk assessments. The insights derived from this study would be integrated into the Provincial Development Physical Framework Plan that will subsequently function as a guide for identifying development priorities thereby ensuring a more sustainable and risk-sensitive growth trajectory for Ilocos Sur.
