In accordance with Provincial Ordinance No. 0096 series of 2021, which focuses on the Conservation and Protection of Marine Turtles, Governor Jerry Singson led the Groundbreaking Ceremony and Installation of Billboards and Signages along the coast of Barangay Tamorong, Santa Catalina.

These markers will indicate turtle nesting sites, playing a key role in the protection and conservation of these marine creatures. The initiative of clearly marking these sites is to safeguard the nests from possible disturbances and promote awareness about the importance of marine turtle conservation.
