A total of 711 farmer-associations in the province of Ilocos Sur received various farm inputs, machineries and equipment such as four-wheel drive tractor, hand tractor, harvester, e-trike bike, portable rice mill, knapsack sprayer and organic fertilizer from the provincial government.

This is in response to the increasing cost of farm inputs, low productivity, climate change and other challenges being faced by the farmers.

Along with Governor Jerry Singson during the ceremonial distribution were Sangguniang Panlalawigan Members Efren Rafanan, Christopher Baterina, Ronnie Rapanut, Gina Cordero, Mildred Elaydo, Art Oandasan, Ben Maggay, Leopoldo Gironella, Constante Benzon, Jimboy Singson, Elpidio Quines and Jaja Tabios.
