Governor Jerry Singson congratulated the Ilocos Sur Community College led by School Administrator Dr. Arnel Doctolero for staging the First Research Congress.

With the 13 group presenters of various ISCC degree programs, the congress served as an avenue for the students in enhancing the society by an advance knowledge thru scientific theories, concepts and ideas.

As a result, the following were commended for their outstanding research:

1st Placer: Agri Business Department

2nd Placer: Information Technology Department

3rd Placer: Midwifery Department

Best student Presenter: Agri Business Students

Aside from the oral presentation, the ISCC also vied for the Best in Poster.

1st Placer: Poster #3 Midwifery Department

2nd Placer: Poster #1 Agri Business Department

3rd Place: Poster #15 Information Technology Department

Panel of Examiners were UNP Professor Dr. Mario Obrero, Provincial Administrator Marlon Tagorda, Dr. Mercita Queddeng, Provincial Tourism Officer John Noel Andaya, Ms. Arlene Rabara, and Mr. Mark Reagan Ablog.
