Labor Day Festival commenced to celebrate the 121st Labor Day! The Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur (PGIS) in partnership with DOLE and other participating agencies launched five major activities – 4th ONE Ilocos Sur Job Fair, Kadiwa ng Pangulo para sa Manggagawa, Trade and Food Fair, Diskwento Caravan and Pampering Ilocos Sur.

The two-day celebration kicked-off with a Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Isabelo Delos Reyes Monument being the Father of the Labor Movement in the Philippines followed by a Labor Day Festival ribbon cutting, blessing of the new DA-donated reefer van and a holy mass at the PFLDC Lobby. While DOLE and TESDA Regional Directors led the distribution of various government assistance (TUPAD, SPES, GIP and NC II Certification), DA Regional Director and parties forged the PAFES MOA with PGIS.

His Excellency President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and DOLE Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma also delivered their message through a video message. Governor Jerry Singson through a video message delivered his inspirational message and declared the formal opening of the 4th ONE Ilocos Sur Job Fair.

The program was attended by Governor Jerry Singson represented by Provincial Administrator Marlon Tagorda, SPM Ronnie Rapanut, SPM Constante Benzon, SPM Jaja Tabios, DOLE RO1 Director Exequiel Ronie Guzman, DA RO1 Director Dr. Annie Bares, TESDA RO1 Director Joel Pilotin, DOLE ARD Honorina Baga and DOLE PD Charity Ubilas.
