The Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur took pride for being the home for the Bonsai Clubs International Convention 2023, a three-day exhibit showcasing artistic bonsai and suiseki works.

Anchored on the theme ” One Art, One Heart”, the exhibit aimed to promote the art and appreciation of bonsai and suiseki, to showcase quality bonsai of collectors, enthusiasts and hobbyists in an educational and non-traditional manner, and to promote international friendship and understanding through bonsai.

During the opening program held at the Heritage City of Vigan, Governor Jerry Singson represented by SPM Christopher Baterina expressed his utmost gratitude to the Bonsai and Suiseki Alliance of the Philippines, Inc. (BSAPI) and Bonsai Clubs International (BCI) for bringing the biggest Bonsai and Suiseki Convention in the province and for uniting hundreds of exhibitors and bonsai enthusiasts all over the world.

Along with SPM Baterina was Vigan City Mayor Jose Bonito Singson who was also unified with BCI’s vision.

The exhibit will run until May 2 in which various workshops and demonstrations will also be given to bonsai and suiseki enthusiasts.
