The Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur spearheaded by Governor Jerry Singson in partnership with Ilocos Sur Environment Enthusiasts (ISEE) showed solidarity in the worldwide initiative of protecting the planet dubbed as “The Biggest Hour for Earth #Switchoff Ilocos Sur” at the Provincial Capitol Frontage.

This is an important movement to inspire everyone on the importance of caring for the nature.

The Governor, true to his commitment to safeguard the environment as part of his priorities stated on his ONE Ilocos Sur Ten-Point Agenda, Biodiversity and Environments encouraged everyone to be an environment protector.

A symbolic candle lighting of the Earth Hour 2023 became the highlight of the event participated by the Provincial Officials led by the Governor together with the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Members Christopher Baterina, Gina Cordero, Third Ranches, and Art Oandasan.

The crowd who participated were amazed with the spoken poetry and silent jam acoustic performances by

iSEE and students from Philippine Science High School, University of Northern Philippines and Ilocos Sur Community College.
