The Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur in coordination with the Department of the Interior and Local Government conducted the Civil Society Organization (CSO) Conference at the Provincial Farmers Livelihood and Development Center last 10 August 2022 to enhance awareness and understanding of CSOs on the importance of civil society participation.

An inspirational message was delivered by Governor Jerry Singson emphasizing that in building long-term good governance, it is important to have strong ties and collaborative relationship between government and civil society.

Different organizations/associations from Ilocos Sur attended as they were all interested to be partners with the Provincial Government and know about the Guidelines on the Accreditation of CSOs as stated under DILG Memo Circular 2022-083 dated June 15, 2022.

With the attendance of a handful CSOs in the province, the activity was likewise graced by the presence of Vice Governor Ryan Singson, SPM Third Ranches and SPM Ronnie Rapanut.

There were 74 organizations who attended the said conference.
