The Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) through Aux Commodore Lourdes Calacal provided an orientation and indoctrination among interested and capable PCGA-applicants this 21st day of August 2022 at Brgy. Pasungol, Santa, Ilocos Sur. Governor Jerry Singson attended the event informing of the previous approval of Commandant CG Adm Artemio Abu to become a PCGA Officer. The Governor expressed his commitment to help PCG in the province under the leadership of CG CDR Alexander Corpuz on the equipment provision by networking with national government agencies.

Provincial Administrator Mr. Marlon Flavier Tagorda also attended the indoctrination and 702nd (KAAGAPAY) Squadron Elite Rescue Unit LCDR Genaro Cacho has accommodated him to pursue his PCGA journey with KAAGAPAY Squadron.
