Governor Jerry Singson gave preliminary information of the upcoming Kannawidan Ilocos Festival 2023 after the Flag Raising Ceremony this 03 January 2023 at the Provincial Farmers Livelihood Center.

The prestigious festival of the province will be an 18-day celebration commemorating the foundation of Ilocos Sur in 1818. The Governor presented 50 great events featuring the different culture, heritage, tradition and values of Ilocos Sur.

A Festival Version of the Ilocos Sur Kannawidan Festival Song 2023 was sung by a group of Ilocos Sur singers led by lyricist Ms. Loraine Andrea Ordoño, the Appointment Secretary of the Governor; while the PGIS Dancers energetically danced to the tune of the festival music.

Moreover, a contract signing was done by the Governor and Creative Events Flow Manila Events/Managing Director Manuel Ian Alcanzaren who will be the official event management team of the Kannawidan Ilocos Festival.

Subsequently, a Press Conference was conducted by the Ilocos Sur Capitol Press Club with the Governor, Sangguniang Panlalawigan Members, Provincial Administrator Marlon Tagorda and CFEM’s Ian Alcanzaren wherein they discussed the 2023 Ilocos Sur Kannawidan Festival plans and activities.
