The Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur through Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office distributed customized tumblers to PGIS employees this 25 November 2024.

This initiative aims to reduce the proliferation of plastic bottles and promote sustainable practices. By adopting the use of tumblers, government employees can significantly decrease their plastic waste footprint, setting a positive example for the community.

Furthermore, this initiative aligns with global efforts to combat plastic pollution and supports the province’s commitment to environmental sustainability. It encourages a shift towards a zero-waste culture, where the reduction, reuse, and recycling of materials become integral to daily life. By embracing these practices, provincial government employees will serve as role models for the entire province, demonstrating a tangible commitment to reducing plastic waste and fostering a culture of environmental responsibility.
