Indigenous Peoples communities from the four provinces of Region 1 convened for the celebration of the Regional IP Summit at Brgy. Cabaroan, San Emilio, Ilocos Sur.

This NCIP-led summit celebrated the 2024 Indigenous Peoples Month and the commemoration of the 27th year since the signing of the Indigenous Peoples’ Rights Act (IPRA).

The event was attended by Governor Jerry Singson, representatives of national government agencies, local government officials, and NCIP employees.

Governor Jerry Singson reiterated his support for the IPs, “This coming together as a community is about strengthening our ties, to reflect on our shared values, and to renew our commitment in the preservation of our cherished traditions for the generations to come.”
