The Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur honors solo parents providing parental care and support to their children on their own through the Provincial Solo Parent Day this 21 June 2024 at the Provincial Farmers Livelihood Development Center.

PGIS commits to working towards the goal of achieving a just society for solo parents and their families, ensuring that they and other vulnerable sectors are not left behind in development.

Governor Jerry Singson, Vice Governor Ryan Singson through SPM Ericson Singson, other Sangguniang Panlalawigan Members, Municipal Mayors, Vice Mayors, and Councilors attended the celebration and signed the Pledge of Commitment.

Cash incentives were given to the solo parent attendees.
