The Department of Trade and Industry initiated the launching of the Search for the Most Functional Local Price Coordinating Council in the province of Ilocos Sur via Zoom this 25 April 2025.

This activity aims to recognize the vital role of the Local Price Coordinating Councils in safeguarding the interests of consumers through effective price and supply monitoring and enforcement of fair trade laws. It also serves as a platform to orient participating LGUs on the guidelines, mechanics, and criteria of the said search.

Governor Jerry Singson, through Provincial Administrator Marlon Tagorda, served as the keynote speaker during the launching.

Other participants came from the Department of Interior and Local Government, Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur, and Local Government Units.
