Eligible farmers’ cooperatives and associations of Ilocos Sur received rice technologies from the Department of Agriculture-Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (DA-PhilMech) at the Provincial Farmers Livelihood Development Center this 28 October 2024.
With a total amount of P32.49 million machineries including rice combine harvester, PTO disc plow, levee maker, rice precision seeder, single pass rice mill (stationary), four-wheeled tractor, and recirculating dryer were distributed under PhilMech’s Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) Mechanization Program.
Senator Cynthia Villar is the principal author of Rice Tarification Law and this became possible through the effort of Congressman Ronald Singson.
