The Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur is one with the whole nation in celebrating President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.’s birthday dubbed as “Handog ng Pangulo, Serbisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat” conducted simultaneously.

The 82 provinces simultaneously aired the President’s live message, drawing all eyes and ears to him.

PGIS distributed 48,000 bags of fertilizers, 13,000 bottles of insecticides, 11,300 rolls of hose, 14, 516 bags of hybrid corn seeds, 40, 200 corn fertilizers, and 200 units of e-trikes for farmer associations and different barangays and 20 cattles for the farmers and fisherfolks of the province.

Other government agencies also extended assistance such as the Department of Agriculture with 55 recipients for the Agricultural Intervention to Farmer Beneficiaries. Technical Education and Skills Development Authority has 10 caregiving beneficiaries. The Department of Labor and Employment having 130 recipients for the goat raising, rice retailing, squash processing and banana chips processing. Department of Trade and Industry took part in extending services for the MSMEs Development and the Department of Health installed a free medical and dental checkup for the participants.

Bail from the Office of the Special Assistant of the President for Investment and Economic Affairs, DA OIC Regional Executive Director John Pascual, DILG Provincial Director Randy Dela Rosa, TESDA Provincial Director Larry Dizon, DTI Provincial Director Rosario Quodala, DOH Provincial Director Engr. John Foz, DOLE OIC Provincial Director Charity Ubilas, and Provincial Administrator Marlon Tagorda led the event.
