The Philippine Fiber Industry Development Authority (PhilFIDA) turned over the Cotton Processing and Weaving Center to Suyo Multi-purpose Cooperative and Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur this 4 September 2024.

The center located in Brgy. Labnig, San Juan is the second cotton processing center to use 100% Philippine cotton for weaving to be fully operational in the Philippines. This will serve as a ready and accessible market for cotton processing and production.

Present during the MOA Signing and Turn-over Ceremony were Governor Jerry Singson represented by Provincial Administrator Marlon Tagorda, PhilFIDA OIC Executive Director Evelyn B. Cagasan, DA RFO1 Dr. Florentino Adame, CEO Suyo Multi-purpose Cooperative Luzviminda Apuya and Provincial Agriculturist Erlinda Baltazar.
