In its mission to provide a life-changing opportunity for vision correction under the Healthy and Safe Citizenry among the 10-Point ONE Ilocos Sur Agenda of Governor Jerry Singson, the Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur provided a free and holistic approach to eye health, starting with comprehensive screenings that integrate multiple eye exams for effective monitoring and early problem detection for the people of Ilocos Sur in celebration of the Sight Saving Month 2024.

Governor Jerry Singson represented by SPM Third Ranches thanked the Provincial Health Office in its effort to strengthen public awareness on the importance of proper eye care and promote the prevention of avoidable blindness, which is a public health issue. Free reading glasses were distributed to the patients in need.

Committee on Health Vice Chairman SPM Doc Art Oandasan and Mr. Francisco De Vera Jr. Program Manager of Blindness Prevention DOH-CHD RO1 also attended the event.
