The Local Peace Engagement Office of the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity spearheaded the orientation to the PTF ELCAC Ilocos Sur on the Transformation Program for Former Rebels (FR), their Families and Communities at the Ilocos Sur Provincial Capitol Hall this 18 June 2024.

The program intends to make ELCAC more responsive to the needs of FRs which can bring a meaningful and valuable transformation not just for the beneficiaries but also for the communities as a whole concentrating on confidence-building, healing, reconciliation and socio-economic initiatives.

Governor Jerry Singson thru SPM Efren Rafanan, PSWD Officer Kathleen Balbuena and OPAPRU North Luzon Area Manager Adonis Bringas joined the orientation together with Ilocos Sur Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict composed of DILG, PNP, AFP, PDEA, DSWD, TESDA, DTI, DEPED, PIA and the Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur.
