Members of fisherfolk associations of the 18 coastal LGUs of Ilocos Sur were recipients of fishing gears such as life vests and head lamps from the Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur.

The assistance was given to a total of 4,000 fishermen in Ilocos Sur as the government’s continuous initiative to boost local fish production, uplift the beneficiaries’ safety and living conditions by providing them equal access to economic opportunities.

Forty-three sets of motorized banca were also awarded to fisherfolk organizations.
