The two cities and 26 municipalities of Ilocos Sur were conferred with the Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance (SCFLG) by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) – Council for the Welfare of Children.

Governor Jerry Singson congratulated the LGUs for their dedication to the children’s right to survival, development, protection, and participation in society.

He also assured that the aspiration and endeavor to pursue moral and social services through providing a better life and brighter future for the children will be consistently instituted in Ilocos Sur.

The Governor together with Vice Governor Ryan Singson, SPM Third Ranches, DSWD Regional Director Marie Angela Gopalan, Regional Prosecutor DOJ/RCWC Vice Chair Atty. Christian Paul L. Ulpido and DILG Provincial Director Randy Dela Rosa attended the conferment.
