The Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur and the Department of Education – Schools Division Office of Ilocos Sur warmly welcomed thousands of delegates from the 14 SDOs in Region 1 to the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) 2024.

Both elementary and secondary campus journalists and broadcasters will showcase their skills and talents in different categories. The RSPC will serve as a competitive atmosphere demonstrating the best of campus journalism and highlighting the best of the best as they aim to secure a spot in the highly anticipated National Schools Press Conference (NSPC).

The opening program was graced by GMA News and Public Affairs Correspondent Abraham “Bam” Archangel A. Alegre together with DepEd Regional Director Dr. Tolentino G. Aquino, SPM Ronnie Rapanut, Vigan City Councilor Ada Artajos, Chief Education Supervisor Arlene A. Niro, and SDO Superintendents.
