Coastal monitoring upon the issuance of tsunami alert by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs)

Governor Jerry Singson immediately alerted the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office for a coastal monitoring upon the issuance of tsunami alert by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) after a 7.5-magnitude earthquake hit Taiwan at 7:58 this morning 3 April 2024.

The PGIS provided relief assistance to families who evacuated due to the ongoing armed conflict.

The Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur provided relief assistance to families who evacuated due to the ongoing armed conflict in Sta. Maria, Ilocos Sur. Seventy-five family packs and 75 hygiene kits were distributed to the evacuees of Brgy. Gusing, Sta. Maria.
