The fun and excitement of celebrating the Ilocos Sur Festival 2024 was also felt in the shores of the province during the Bangkarera held in Alangan beach of Magsingal last 8 February 2024.

Boat racing enthusiasts as far as Zamboanga and Quezon participated. Teams from Ilocos Sur were the champions in the four categories namely open formula, panaltagan/payakan, rakit and service.
