The City Government of Vigan bestowed the Bigueño of the Year Award to Governor Jerry Singson for his 48 uninterrupted years of dedication and service to the city and the people of Ilocos Sur during the celebration of Longganisa Festival 2024.

“This recognition is truly special as it celebrates not just my professional endeavors but also the shared commitment we have as one community. I am truly humbled by this award as I did not embark on politics with the expectation of such recognition, instead, it is all about my passion to serve and commitment to alleviate the lives of our people here in Ilocos Sur”, Governor Singson said during his acceptance message.

The award is given to individuals who have shown exemplary performance in their given field and rendered exceptional service, giving pride and prestige to the Heritage City of Vigan.

Also, present during the awarding ceremony were SPM Third Ranches, SPM Art Oandasan and PPSK President Victor Singson.
