Governor Jerry Singson together with BFAR Chief – Capture Fisheries Section Henry Canlas and Provincial Fishery Officer Martin Alayban had a meeting with Ilocos Sur Federated Fisherfolk Association Inc. to address concerns being faced by the fishing sector.

Also, BFAR announced the awarding of the 62-footer fiber reinforce plastic boat to the members of Ilocos Sur Federated Fisherfolk Association, Inc. and Apatot Community Payao Fisherfolk, Inc. These were the first fishing boats awarded to Ilocos Sur through the Capacitating Municipal Fisherfolk Program.
