The Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur underwent national level of validation for the 2023 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG).

LGOO V Mary Jheama Rachine E. Canullas from DILG CAR served as the national validator.

Results of validation will be presented to the National Quality Committee for vetting, prior to its endorsement to the DILG Secretary and Undersecretary for Local Government for its conferment.

Governor Jerry Singson expressed his hope that the province will be able to get the highly coveted award for the sixth round.
