As an answer to the call of the Office of Civil Defense, Ilocos Sur participated in the 3rd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill led by the PDRRMC at San Vicente Integrated School.

This targets on the promotion of earthquake preparedness and disaster resiliency especially in reducing casualties in case a major earthquake strikes.
