In response to the serious effects of the super typhoon, Governor Jerry Singson led the Post-Egay Meeting together with Vice Governor Ryan Singson, sangguniang panlalawigan members, department heads and various government agencies.

As of 2 August 2023, there are 65,974 families or 259,710 individuals in 615 barangays of Ilocos Sur who were affected by the onslaught of super typhoon Egay.

The Governor wanted an immediate humanitarian and early recovery support to areas affected by the super typhoon.
