The Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur was among the 81 participating provinces in the simultaneous conduct of the KADIWA ng Pangulo (KNP) throughout the country this 17 July 2023.

The KNP enables farmers to sell directly to consumers by removing market layers, making fresh agricultural and fishery commodities accessible at affordable prices to consumers and establishing additional markets for farmers, fisherfolks and micro enterprises to sell locally produced agri-fishery products and basic necessities.

The event became possible through the strong collaboration of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and National Food Authority (NFA).

Today’s event has booth/stalls consisting of 44 local sellers from DA, DTI, DOLE, and DSWD including NFA.
