The Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur headed by Governor Jerry Singson led the observance of the National Disaster Resilience Month 2023 through a motorcade around Metro Vigan this 1 July 2023. It was participated by the Provincial, City and Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices, National Government Agencies and other stakeholders.

This year’s theme: “BIDANG FILIPINO Building a Stronger Filipino Well Being Towards Disaster Resilience” seek to advocate the importance of preparedness and resilience in building safer and more sustainable communities.
