Around 4,200 Barangay Health Workers (BHW) from the 768 barangays of Ilocos Sur joined the 23rd BHW Congress this 21 April 2023 at the Vigan Convention Center.

The event was conducted to recognized the vital role of the BHWs as frontline of primary health care.

Present during the said congress were Governor Jerry Singson represented by Atty. Jannah Singson, Vice Governor Ryan Singson, SPM Art Oandasan, SPM Third Ranches, BHW National President Zenaida Pulido, Local Health Support Division Chief CHO-1, Dr. Jimuel Cardenas.
