The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (PDRRMC) conducted an Emergency Preparedness and Response Meeting for the Holy Week 2023 and DRRM Meeting held at the Provincial Farmers Livelihood Development Center, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur.

The meeting aimed to discuss plans, strategies, and strengthens disaster risk reduction management in the province. One of the agenda tackled was the Creation of Ilocos Sur DRRM Federation and Election of its Officers.

The following were elected to the various positions:

President: Engr. Michael Padayao (Tagudin)

Vice President (1st District): Milagros Alquiza (Vigan City)

Vice President (2nd District): Romeo Buenavista (Sta Lucia)

Vice President (Upland municipalities): Raymund Latong (Sugpon)

Secretary: Janette Rabara (Sta Catalina)

Auditor: Hanz Willbur Quebral (Caoayan)

Treasurer: Vince Clyde Cardenas (Santa)

PRO: Revjohn Dalit (Burgos)

Board of Directors:

The Weather Updates of the DOST PAG-ASA gave emphasis to the weather updates, the Philippine Army discussed the various security threats, the Ilocos Sur Police Provincial Office (ISPPO) talked the peace and order while the Provincial Health Office (PHO) gave updates in terms of health statistics and the PDRRMC also discussed the MC 110 NDRRM Fund Requirements and Operations Guideines and the Emergency Preparedness and Response Protocol in the province.

Freddie Crsitobal Evangelista of the Office of the Civil Defense Region 1 and the Provincial Administrator Marlon Tagorda were also present during the meeting.
