The Street Dancing Showdown is one of the major and highly-anticipated events of the Ilocos Sur Kannawidan Festival 2023.

Prior to the start of the competition, four rituals were observed, first was the Ritual of Water led by Provincial Administrator Marlon Tagorda, Ritual of Rice led by SPM Gina Cordero, Ritual of Fire by Provicial Tourism Officer John Noel Andaya and the Ritual of Food by SPM Art Oandasan.

Performers thrilled the judges and audience for their give it all performance during the Street Dancing Showdown.

Featuring the Abel Iloco fabric and the participation of their public officials, the Champion for this year’s Kannawidan Street Dancing Competition is the Municipality of Caoayan who also won the Best in Costume, followed by the Municipality of Salcedo as the 2nd Placer and Best in Production Design special award, while Narvacan landed up 3rd Placer.

Meanwhile the city of Vigan won the Best in Street Dancing and Reyna ti Kannawidan 2023.

The Municipality of Caoayan will represent the province in Aliwan Festival 2023 on April.
