As part of the festive and inclusive celebration of the Ilocos Sur Kannawidan Festival 2023 the parade of remarkable and prominent women in the world portrayed by equally notable and eminent women of Ilocos Sur was done at the heart of Vigan City.

This was participated by Board Members Gina Cordero and Milderd Elaydo, Mayor Germy Goulart of Caoayan, Vice Mayors and wives of the provincial and municipal officials, heads of offices and employees of the PGIS, representatives from local government units, non-government organizations and business sector.

The activity aimed to give high regards to the women who greatly contributed to the rich culture, tradition and progress of the heritage province.

After the parade, the officials recognized these empowered women for their active involvement at the Provincial Farmers Livelihood Development Center Lobby.

Governor Jerry Singson wanted to show that inclusivity and participatory through giving respect, acknowledgement and admiration to the women of Ilocos Sur is observed not only during this festival time but always.
