Governor Jerry Singson and the rest of the provincial officials showed the utmost Ilocano hospitality when Her Excellency Ambassador MaryKay Carlson of United States of America paid courtesy visit this 09 February 2023 at the Provincial Farmers Livelihood Development Center.

H.E MaryKay Carlson congratulated the province for preserving the rich culture and tradition of Ilocos Sur which is an important source of economic growth in relation to tourism.

The ambassador was also impressed with the One Ilocos Sur 10-Point Agenda of the Governor presented by Provincial Administrator Marlon Tagorda specially the inclusivity and diversity which is for her, an important component for the residents of Ilocos Sur for them to feel they belong and the government is within their reach.

With her visit she also assured an intense engagement of the US and Philippines bilateral relationship towards progress.
