Governor Jerry Singson together with SPM Benjamin Maggay, SPM Gina Cordero, SPM Mildred Elaydo, personnel from the Ilocos Sur Police Provincial Office and other city and Municipal Police Stations and staff from the Provincial Tourism and Development office had a meeting with Travel Ilokandia regarding on the docking of Silver Spirit Cruise Ship at Salomague Port, Cabugao on February 14, 2023.

Silver Spirit Cruise Ship is expected to bring 500 American and European tourists for a six-hour walking tour in the province specifically Vigan City and San Vicente.

During the meeting, Governor Jerry Singson expressed his utmost commitment to ensure the safety and security of the tourists by enhancing police visibility. The Governor rest assured that Ilocos Sur will always be a safe destination.

Also, the Provincial Government will be providing cultural performers to entertain the cruisers and will offer activities that will surely make their visit more memorable.

Governor Jerry Singson is looking forward to more partnerships with Travel Ilokandia specifically in bringing more tourists in the province through international cruise ships to dock not only in Salomague Port but also to other developing ports in the province. This is part of the provincial government’s effort to uplift and improve local cruise tourism Industry as well as economic growth.
