Governor Jerry Singson gave emphasis to the important role of farmers in achieving food security and economic growth in the province and pledged to continue providing support and assistance to the farmers of Ilocos Sur during the opening program of the Agri-Pinaka Contest as part of the Ilocos Sur Kannawidan Festival 2023.

Prior to the program, a parade was done around the city where hand tractors were decorated with different agricultural crops that turned into colorful floats.

Following an exhibition of biggest fruits, vegetables and animals which amazed the public.

The 32 municipalities and two cities gladly participated in this grand agricultural event of the province.
