The Department of Social Welfare and Development in partnership with the Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur and Municipality of Santa conducted the culmination of the Cash for Work Payout under the Risk Resiliency Program for Climate Change Adaptation, Mitigation and Disaster Risk Reduction for the year 2022.

Said payout was attended by Governor Jerry Singson, DSWD FO1-Regional Director Mrs. Marie Angela Gopalan, Santa Mayor Jesus “Popoy” Bueno Jr., PSWDO-OIC Mr. Rodrigo Llameg, and Santa MSWD Officer Mrs. Genevieve Balbuena.

Prior to this, 11 municipalities had undergone such payout. The beneficiaries had a 10-day activity composed of community gardening and cleaning in exchange for the P3,400.00 incentive for each beneficiary. A total of 1000 Santa residents were benefitted to the said program.
