The Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur conferred a ONE Ilocos Sur Spring Development Grant (SDG) which is an opportunity-driven mechanism of the provincial government to enrich the knowledge and skills of the people in terms of local economic development (LED). Governor Jerry Singson believes in the power and potential of youth to create solutions to the most pressing challenges of our time.
Winners of the Grant received a plaque during the 126th Anniversary of the Martyrdom of Dr. Jose Rizal this 30 December 2022 at the Rizal Monument, Plaza Salcedo, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur.
The following were the five grantees:
1. Sucoc Riverwatch & Eco Food Park of ISEE Sto. Domingo
2. Project Batbato (Bringing Action Through Bridging, Advocating, and Training Opportunities) of Rotaract Club of Magsingal North Ilocos Sur
3. Plastic Bottle Boat Community of Project Blue Philippines
4. Kahawa Atbp. of UNP CBAA
5. Young Entrepreneurs of Sinait (YES) Club of ISEE Sinait
Mentoring and coaching will be conducted by January 2023 prior to the awarding of the P100,000.00 financial grant to the five youth organizations.
