Governor Jerry Singson and Provincial Administrator Marlon Flavier Tagorda met with Mayor Edgar Rapanut and District Engineer Reynaldo Organo at Brgy. Paratong, Sta. Catalina to assess the damage made by the overnight storm surge along coastal towns and cities of the Heritage Province of Ilocos Sur.

Instantly, the provincial, district and municipal governments together with private contractors were mobilized to provide equipment and manpower to the immediate requirement of the seawall.

The barangay leaders and the entire community were wide awake together with the provincial and municipal DRRM Office managing the damage.
