Governor Jerry Singson led the reorganization of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (PDRRM) Council and its eventual meeting with the status update on the aftermath of the earthquake today 29 July 2022 at the Provincial Farmers Livelihood Development Center. DOST-PHIVOLCS Supervising Science Research Specialist Jeffrey Perez gave details on the present situation of the Abra River Fault.

Along with the Governor were DILG Provincial Director Randy S. Dela Rosa, DPWH Second District Eng. Emil R. Ganaden, Philippine Red Cross Ilocos Sur Chapter Administrator Veronica Tactay, 71st Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Michael B. Bautista, DepEd Ilocos Sur Schools Division Office Senior Education Program Specialist Joel Peralta, and SDO Vigan City Eng. Jonel Belizar who provided reports on the damages of the earthquake on their respective agencies and presented different interventions and plans for recovery.

Also present were SPM Hon. Efren Rafanan (Chairperson on Peace, Order and Public Safety), SPM Hon. Constante Benzon (President, Liga ng mga Barangay), SPM Hon. Virginia Cordero-Pe Benito, Provincial Administrator Mr. Marlon Tagorda and PDRRMO Mr. Michael Chan.
