Vigan Airport Police headed by Acting Chief Police Lieutenant Ulysses Portugal paid a courtesy call to Governor Jerry Singson and presented the different plans of the team for the nearly opening of the domestic operation of the said airport.

It can be recalled that Vigan airport at present has a bigger passenger terminal building and expanded runway. The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines and the Department of Transportation have laid out plans for further improvements, including the construction of a control tower building, power supply, and installation of communications and meteorological equipment system. The upgraded airport can now accommodate 150 passengers at any given time, more than thrice its previous capacity of only 40 passengers.
