The Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur headed by Governor Jerry Singson being the Chairman of the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC), Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC), and Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (PDRRMC) spearheaded the conduct of the 1st Quarter 2023 Joint Meeting this 29 March 2023 at the Provincial Farmers Livelihood Development Center.

The council reported on the different updates on status of their respective areas of concerns and turned out that Ilocos Sur is generally peaceful.
